What Kolonos is
A family office is a small thing by design. Kolonos has a few part-time people, a postal address and no office, and that is the whole of it.
The equity came from two businesses. Collis Holding B.V., founded under Kolonos in 1997, grew into a card payment security company operating worldwide and was sold to UL in 2012. Secura B.V., a Benelux cybersecurity advisory firm Kolonos invested in during 2017, was sold to Bureau Veritas in 2021. What that money does now falls into three domains.
The four buildings Kolonos owns, in Assen, Rijswijk, Gouda and Almelo. The Almelo frame is an artist's impression.

The equity is invested across three domains
Four buildings in the Netherlands, participations in Donkey Mobile and GBI Proal, and a selection of financial funds abroad.
Commercial, and semi-commercial
Kolonos is a commercial business and invests for profit. It also aims to do business in a socially responsible way, which means some of what it owns is only semi-commercial. Two of the four buildings are monuments, still in use for what they were built for.
Part of the profit is donated to charity. We do not publish the amounts or the recipients, because that is not what the giving is for.
